Jim Cherry

I grew up in Chicago in the 60’s, although I missed all the cool things. I spent my time reading my grandmother’s library of first editions of Twain, Dickens, Conrad, Conan-Doyle. I’ve lived in Los Angeles, visited New Orleans, Mexico, France and Germany, usually when I didn’t have the money. I 'm the author of several self-published novels Becoming Angel, The Last Stage, two short stories, Stranger Souls, and The Lion Communique. Two excerpts from The Third Day have been published in literary magazines, The Dilapidated Kingdom was published in the October 2025 issue of Well-Read Magazine and will be included in the anthology of Well-Read Magazine’s The Best of 2025 Volume 2 which was published in March 2026. The Dragon appeared in Literary Garage in September 2025. My short story The Captured Dead is in Astral Pages: Ghosts, Galaxies and Magical Realism which was published April 2026.
